Four Things to do When You Contact an Attorney
- Have your claim information ready. This includes the name of the insurance company and adjuster on your claim.
- Have any “Notices of Claim Status” you have received from the insurance company or the Industrial Commission of Arizona in front of you. This will have valuable information an attorney will need to advise you. Carriers are required to issue formal “notices of claim status” regarding decisions made on your claim. The lawyer will want to know your current status.
- Have your pay stubs just prior to the injury available, along with a copy of any document establishing your average monthly wage. A lawyer can help you determine if your wage was established correctly.
- Know the names and specialties of all doctors you have seen for the injury.
